Repeat performance?

You know, I'm glad I didn't take part in any kind of bracket challenge for the women's draw in Indian Wells! Talk about March Madness!

This tournament has been hit by so many upsets that I can't even begin to list them all, but I'll throw out a few: Svetlana Kuznetsova, Maria Sharapova, Flavia Pennetta ... you get the idea. Makes you wonder who could bring the hardware home.

There are some big names still around, such as Kim Clijsters, but with the way things have gone, it might be another slightly unexpected player that could take advantage, say, like Vera Zvonareva. I didn't think she would win last year, but she pulled it off. Why not envision her repeating? She's playing solidly so far here.

But if Aravane Rezai was holding up the trophy, I wouldn't be surprised either!

Well I did enter a women's draw and let me tell ya, everyone picked a finalist who is already out of the tourney. Kim, Justine, Vicki, Maria or Flavia. Woohoo! How bout Sloane Stephens? She is someone to look for and I was upset Mel lost both her first round matches. Oh well, I think the humidity will serve her well in Miami (hopefully).
Also, I have tickets to the finals this Sunday. I only can hope one of the Andy's is playing. ;) If not, then Rog or Rafa. I'd like to be able to say I saw at least one of them play live to my grandkids!

I took part in an "anti-bracket" challenge.

And picked a scary amount of top seeds to go down precisely the way they did.

I loved JJ's win over Errani - she looked to be playing as well as she has for over a year despite a large number of UFEs - a win here could go a long way to restoring her confidence.

Though Dementieva's a safer bet

* Hey Taf! I think whoever makes it to the finals should put on a good show. Hope you get to catch one of them!

* TopSpin, that sounds like a pretty cool way to go about picking a tournament. Whoever went all out at this one probably did well! Dementieva could do some more damage here, for sure.

The way things are going, I'm hoping for at least 1 Andy to make it but if not, Robbie would be good... and Rafa on the other side. And at this point I'm hoping Stosur gets to final as I've always liked her! ;)
